Burna Boy: Nigeria’s Most Grammy-Nominated Artiste of All Time 

Nigeria singer Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy, has now become the most nominated Nigerian artiste of all time, with a total of 13 Grammy nominations. 

Recently, the self-acclaimed African Giant, who previously won his first Grammy at the 63rd Grammy Awards,  earned two additional nominations, marking seven consecutive years of global recognition.

With his nominations, Burna Boy set another career milestone by becoming the first Nigerian artiste to earn five career Grammy nominations in album categories. 

This is tied to his latest album “No Sign of Weakness” (2025) being nominated for Best Global Music Album at the upcoming 2026 Grammy Awards.

This firmly cemented his status as a true music icon as one of Africa’s greatest exports, especially putting Nigerian artistes at the forefront of the Grammys. 

Winners for the 2026 Grammy Awards will be announced on February 1, 2026.
